FAQ’S
What is the recommended age for your products?
We recommend our sensory kits and DIY Kits for ages 2 and up or once a child is no longer putting items in their mouth
We always recommend adult supervision when children are playing with our kits.
Due to the presence of small parts/choking hazards our kits are not recommended for children under the age of 2
Returns
We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item you purchased is defective. If you receive a defective item, please email us at hello@kidiys.com with details of the product, including photos, and the defect.
Can i buy KiDIYs kits as gifts?
We would love for you to gift our products! When you place your order, you can include a personalised gift message that will be included with the shipment on the packing slip. Prices are not included on our packing slips.
When will I receive my order?
All orders, except for personalised and crochet are shipped out within the next 3-4 business days of order receipt . Business days do not include Sundays and all holidays observed by India Post
Personalised products may take around 7-10 days from the time we receive all the personalization details.
How long will the Playdough last?
Our play dough will last for between 3-6 months providing it is stored in a cool, dark place and in the airtight container provided. If you store it in the fridge it can last even longer! We recommend the fridge for people who live high humidity areas.
Play dough loves to be handled so the more you play with it the longer it will last. Salt crystals may form on the surface (which is completely normal), if this occurs just give the dough a good knead and they will disappear again. If your dough starts to dry out from age or being left out, give it a good knead and add a bit of oil to help restore it again.
As our play dough is homemade it is free from artificial preservatives so please be sure to handle it regularly and store it correctly.
How long will the sensory rice/ pasta last?
Sensory rice/ pasta can be re-used many times and will last years providing it is clean and stored correctly. We recommend storing it in the provided zip lock bag in a cool dark place. The scent will fade over time (it is to be expected), however, you can always add your own at home afterwards to keep it smelling beautiful.
What Ingredients do you use ?
We use high quality food-grade ingredients in our Play Dough and Sensory Bases. Food colouring and flavouring are mostly used to colour and scent our products, although in some cases dried flowers, herbs, cocoa and coffee are used.

How do I care for my Wooden tools and accessories?
We recommend washing or wiping clean your wooden tools and accessories immediately after use if there is play dough stuck on them – no one likes to scrub at old dried play dough! You can use warm soapy water to clean them but do not soak them or put them in the dishwasher. Give a towel dry afterwards.
Can I customize my kit?
All our kits are handmade to order so there is some scope to customise your items.
We also love creating bespoke kits, so if you have an idea for a kit you would like we would be happy to hear your thoughts and we will do our best to accommodate.

How does my Child/ Children play with your sensory kits?
The beauty of our kit is that it is completely kid-friendly. There is no right or wrong way to play with our kit. Children are imaginative and come up with all sorts of situations and pretend play on their own. One day the kits could be the little worlds they built, and the next they could be cake ingredients! Sit back and watch what your child is doing. If your child is new to sensory play, they may need some ideas to begin with. PYou can demonstrate play by scooping and transferring the materials, running your hands through the bases, setting up the pieces in different ways, talking about the different items and making up stories with the figurines. Each kit comes with fun facts to read with your child to spark their interest and imagination.

Sensory Play can be messy, how do we contain the mess?
Here at KiDIYs, we firmly believe that little mess brings happiness for little kids, but maybe not for adults! We intentionally designed our box to be deep so that you can use it to contain the contents inside. Spills are inevitable, so we recommend using a splash mat, old sheets, play mat, etc. to catch the mess. That way, you can put the contents back into the box when you're done. When playing with Playdoh, place a place mat on the table. Another great idea is to take it outside. All our bases are biodegradable. In the event of a spill, you can rest easy knowing that it leaves no footprints in the environment and requires minimal cleanup.

My order shows as delivered but I can't find it, what should I do?
If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered or you have received an SMS/Whatsapp regarding delivery confirmation, but you haven't received the package, here’s what you should do.
- Check if any of your neighbors/friends/relatives/house owner/security guards has collected your package on your behalf.
- If you are still unable to trace the parcel, please contact us via email at hello@kidiys.com within 7 days of delivery confirmation and we will be glad to look into this for you.
The courier company has returned my order.
Please note that shipments may be returned back to us due to the below reasons:
- The package is damaged in transit
- The delivery is refused by the recipient
- The address given is incorrect. Always double-check your address before placing an order.
- No one is available to accept the delivery and 3 attempts have already been made.
Unfortunately, we cannot re-deliver an order which is returned to us. If payment is already made, a full refund will be processed into the original payment source within 7 business days. We will send you an SMS/Whatsapp confirmation once this is done. You can re-order the same or a similar item, depending on stock availability.
For any order of personalized products, we cannot refund the amount to you, but we will reattempt shipping one last time as soon as the returned product reaches us. However, we will not be able to reship the product or refund the amount paid after two shipment attempts.
I am eyeing a few personalised products on your website. What are your dispatch timelines?
Our dispatch timelines are product specific, and we have mentioned the timelines on the product pages themselves. Personalised products typically have details specific to your child and hence, are made to order once we receive details from -your end. We typically ship products within 7-10 working days of the order, provided we have received all personalisation inputs required from you. If we haven't, then count dispatch timelines from the date you have shared the details with us.
Can I use COD to pay for personalised products?
We do not provide COD for personalised product orders, since the product has been custom-made and cannot be cancelled.
Can I cancel my order for personalised products?
Personalised products are made to order based on the input details provided by you, and we will be unable to cancel your order for personalised products, once received at our end. Sorry!
If you do decide to go ahead and cancel or refuse delivery, we will be unable to process a refund. We can, however, reattempt shipping one more time if you change your mind and do wish to receive the product.
